Check out this screen enclosure patio remodel we did in the Christwood community of Covington! We removed the old screen enclosure, framed out the walls, installed an air/moisture barrier, two windows and a door, insulated the walls and ceiling, added a ductwork system, and installed new vinyl siding on the exterior, and a beautiful shiplap siding on the interior walls and ceiling. What was once a screened in porch is now an incredibly spacious mudroom.

Here we are in Orlando, Florida right in the thick of finishing up the mitigation and jumping straight in to repairs on this home that had to be entirely gutted after Hurricane Ian. We first cleaned out the home, and got rid of any materials that were wet and saturated. We then started the dry-out process and set up our air movers to evaporate the water from the framing and saturate the moisture into the air, followed by humidifiers to pull the moisture out of the air and out of the home. After carefully monitoring the home’s moisture levels, we were finally able to begin repairs. First up is new insulation, then sheetrock, taping and mudding.

Hurricane Ida flooding – Bathroom prior to repairs
The flooring at this home located in the University City Neighborhood of Kenner was in a very hazardous condition! We replaced it with high grade snap-and-lock flooring as part of our full home renovation after major Hurricane Ida damage. Once the flooring was installed we were able to follow it with brand new baseboards and quarter round.

Kitchen Remodel in Ponchatoula, LA. We took out the damaged cabinets, countertops, trim, floors, sheetrock and insulation due to Hurricane Ida. After sheetrock removal, the studs were sprayed with an antimicrobial to kill any fungus and mold. Fans and dehumidifier were put in the kitchen to pull out any moisture. A clean air mover was also put in the home to help with any sheetrock dust or in-air bacteria. We monitored the moisture levels daily and once the home was dry enough, we got started on repairs and putting in insulation, sheetrock, paint, cabinets and countertops.
